Road Closure - Salisbury Road and Kent Lane

The local electricity network is owned and operated by Scottish and Southern Electricity PLC (SSEN) who will be installing pipework (ducts) for new underground electricity cables to help power our community.   Work will start on Monday 5 January 2026 on the following roads: Salisbury Road (250m from the A31 Roundabout to Old Salisbury Road, it is expected that this phase of work be completed by Friday 6 February 2026. This phase of works will be under multi way lights and two way lights. Kent Lane (the road will be closed from Salisbury Road to Alderholt Road) and these works are expected to be complete by Friday 24 April 2026. Diversion routes will be clearly signposted. Dorset Council - Bring Photo ID Next Time You Vote

Voters will need to show an accepted form of photographic identification next time they go to the polling station.
