Alderholt Meadows Planning Appeal

The Planning Inquiry has now ended with all parties giving their closing statements on Friday 19th July. The Planning Inspector, when asked by the Parish Council’s barrister, said he was hoping to have a decision by 13th September, but it could be later than this date. The Parish Council’s barrister, planning consultant and Cllr Gina Logan attended every day of the Inquiry with the transport consultant attending in person and online when required. The Parish Council worked alongside Dorset Council officers and A4A to ensure there was no duplication of evidence and to present a strong case against the appeal. The Parish Council’s planning consultant, transport consultant and Cllr Logan all had to present their evidence as to why the appeal should be dismissed and had to also undergo cross examination by the appellant’s barrister. This was also the case for the A4A representatives who attended the Inquiry, and the Parish Council would like to thank everyone for putting themselves through this process.
